Kansas Life Science Emergency Supply Hub

Calling on all Life Science and Healthcare Organizations to Donate Supplies to Fight COVID-19

As the leading life sciences and healthcare organizations, it’s incumbent upon all of us to do everything we can to address the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, we need to give aid to the first responders and healthcare providers who are putting their health on the line every day to help patients. To that end, we’re launching the Kansas Life Science Emergency Supply Hub to help coordinate efforts and bring additional supplies and resources to healthcare institutions around the state so they can continue to test and treat patients with COVID-19.

We’re asking every life sciences and healthcare organization to consider how they may be able to help, specifically in donating lab, testing, and diagnostics supplies, personal protection equipment (PPE), and medical and scientific expertise needed to combat COVID-19. Please fill out the following survey to let us know what you can donate:

In addition, we ask companies and healthcare providers to make us aware of any supply chain issues you are encountering. We will share this information with state agencies to coordinate and triage all requests for supplies. We’ll also use this information to help inform the types of supplies to request from our membership or the community.

With all this information centralized, the state government will be able to more efficiently match requests with available supplies. Our resource hub is not meant to replace the current structure the state has in place for resource requests from healthcare institutions to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment or other agencies but is meant to augment it. Please join us in helping to ensure healthcare institutions across our state have what they need to continue their work safely.

Please also make us aware if you’re encountering obstacles or challenges due to implemented policies, by emailing supplyhub@biokansas.org.

Thank you very much for your help.

Sincerely,
